Where It Begins
Growing up in Nigeria and now living in the UK, I was always navigating questions of identity, culture, and beauty. The women in my life, my mother, my grandmothers, the aunties who moved through rooms like ceremonies, became my first muses. Their grace, their resilience, their unspoken knowing, lives in every canvas I touch.
My work draws deeply from my Nigerian culture: the geometry of adire textiles, the weight of aso-oke fabrics, the spiritual language of colour. These aren't decorations they're a visual vocabulary, a love letter to a heritage that shaped me.
What I Make
Original Paintings
Each original is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted work on canvas or board using professional-grade acrylics and oils. No two are ever the same. I work in layers building up texture, adding detail, sometimes stepping back for days before returning to a piece. When you bring an original home, you're not just buying art. You're taking in a moment of someone's story.
Art Prints
My prints are made to make the work accessible without compromise. Each print is produced on museum-quality archival paper using pigment inks that hold colour for generations. They're designed to live in your space, hold their richness, and mean something every time you pass them.
Why It Matters
Representation in art is not a trend. For too long, the interior lives of Black women have been absent from gallery walls, from living rooms, from the places we rest and dream. I paint to change that one bold, joyful, unapologetic image at a time.
Every piece I create is an invitation: to see, to feel, and to celebrate the beauty that has always been there.
